Meet Maverick
Maverick's Mission wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for this star of the show-- our inspiration to start a rescue. Standing at 15 hands at 16 years old, quarter horse Maverick had never been handled.
After meeting Maverick, our founder Tina immediately fell in love. She started pouring her time and energy into getting him back to good health, and in a safer situation, and became passionate about doing the same for other equine who also need rescuing.
How you can help
We've secured our non-profit status, and have been approved to rescue more animals, but we can't do it alone.
Your support of Maverick's Mission will go towards infrastructure, transportation, feed, supplements, and veterinary costs for the animals we rescue.

On Sunday, March 10th, Maverick's Mission committed to these three BLM Burros, rescued from a kill pen in Oklahoma.
There are two Jennies said to be 5 years old, and a 6 year old Jack.
We are working with Skydog Sanctuary to bring them home. They are currently comfortable in quarantine in Oklahoma.
The burros will spend 30 days in quarantine, and as long as no issues arise, they will then travel to Skydog in Oregon. While in Oregon, the Jack will be castrated and they will all get med checks, hooves trimmed, and other cares. Once the Jack is healed from his castration they will make the last leg of their journey to Maverick's Mission, their forever home.
